I've always been a person to trust the first person that shows interest in me. These past few months have been a blur like I was working on auto pilot.  Seasons will fly by and friends will make you cry you'll feel your world change before your eyes but you'll survive. I know I did. There I was under the orange sky, sitting with my mother, pouring my heart out about this past few months where I feel I've been betrayed. Tears threatening to spill from my eyes.  Like they say 'Mother knows best'. She definitely knew exactly what to say. She told me " every part of you is precious so never cry over a man , a friend, or a failure but cry only for yourself". That flipped a switch in my mind. If it brands me as selfish then so be it but I will live only for myself, cry only for myself and fight only for myself. Location 1:KOCL Research Farm, Nuvem Goa  On 24th March, 2023 our EVS professors took our class to a field trip to observe and study the ecosystem of the sites. We were supposed to visit a polluted site and an Agroecosystem. My classmates and I were accompanied by two professors on our field trip.  Our first location was KOCL farm in Nuvem. This farm was an Agroecosystem with various flowering and medicinal plants along with various farm animals.  We saw the plants that we see on a daily basis but were ignorant to their uses and benefits. We definitely gained a lot of knowledge on how to treat a soar throat or a cold. Location 2: Sonsodo, Margao Goa. The second location was Sonsodo in Margao where a lot of unsegregated garbage was dumped years ago. This collected garbage is the fruit of negligence. My girlfriends and I decided to to go out so as to take break from the exam stress. Having foodie friends really helps because I get to try out new restaurants and cafes. We decided to try out a new restaurant that was recently opened in Margao. The restaurant is quite at a distance from the Margao market but the travelling was worth it as it is rated 5 stars on google. Interior of the restauraunt The ambience is very welcoming and charming. There is good lighting, air conditioning and hospitable hosts. The chef was a very polite fellow and personally served us our order. Location: Edward's Fish House, next to Mohan motors, Chicalim Vasco. Craving fried fish dishes must come naturally with being a Goan. For us goans, fish is like oxygen, impossible to live without. We can do without meat but we need at least a piece of fish with every meal. Goans love their 'xitt kodi nustea' (fish curry rice) and it's pretty much a staple in every Goan household. I personally love The Goan Fishthali. It is my go-to dish at every family restaurant. It is basically a rice meal with many veg and non veg side dishes paired with fried fish. At times I can't help but envy this brat. When he gets in trouble for knocking objects, his in for a yell but one peep in his amber eyes and your anger melts.  History says that ancient Egyptians would shave off their eyebrows when their cats died. You will be surprised to know the lengths one can go for their pets.   Gentlecat From bites to cat hair to zoomies at 3 am and pouncing on me out of nowhere. If you hit him to discipline him then he will hit you twice. Sometimes I can feel his judgemental eyes on me and that makes me question "What is going on in his tiny cat head?". Carmel Sparx 2023 On 25th February 2023, our college had an event to spark the creativity of young minds through music, dance, games and many more activities. The event was for the staff, faculty and the students. The students along with our professors participated in the onstage and offstage events. Flash Mob  Our teachers also took part in the flash mob and we were thrilled and delighted at their amazing performance. Goa Carnival 2023 Goa is known as the pearl of the east because it is a vibrant and beautiful place full of color and life. In Goa we celebrate various festivals like Christmas, feasts, Diwali, Shigmo and many more. Ash Wednesday is just around the corner and so it is time for the most awaited celebration of the year. It is none other than The Goan Carnival. Carnival or Carnaval is the most famous celebration in the state that is being celebrated since the 18th century which was introduced by the Portuguese.  Goa Carnival goes for four days and nights and ends  on Shrove Tuesday which is the day before Lent. There is something for all age groups in the carnival. Like for the kids there are floats with cartoon characters, disney characters like princesses, minions, toy story and many more, for the teenagers there are various dances and music from hip hop to rock and much more and for the older generation there are folk dances, awareness floats, dark comedy and so on.
